I wish I understood French, because I’m quite sure I’m missing out on witty dialogue. 

I first found Les Charlots (The Clowns…a play on Charlie Chaplin’s French nickname, Charlot) when I was roaming the pages of Scopitone. They were a comedic group, sort of Monty Python meets the Marx Brothers, and they did films and parody music videos. 

This film, Le Grand Bazar, is full of great physical comedy and transcends any language barrier.
